Gurugram: Residents of Sector 4, Gurugram are having a harrowing time while commuting on broken and uneven roads. Most of the roads in the sector are no longer commutable causing a lot of trouble for the residents and passersby.
Moreover, the lack of a proper drainage system and persistent waterlogging is adding to the residents' woes. The residents said that stagnated water is causing deterioration of the condition of the roads.
Sector 4 RWA General Secretary KL Vasan said that drain lines were to be laid for drainage in the sector. But after a year of negligence, only a little work started in the monsoon season which couldn't finish.
Now after the rains, all the roads in the area got waterlogged and due to which most of them are in a dilapidated state.
The residents said that potholes are causing a risk of accidents in the area. They claimed that several complaints have been made to the civic body on the matter, but no solution has been provided yet.
Moreover, accumulated water is also becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
