Noida: Road sinking and manhole create hindrance to the residents of 7x sector

Residents of Noida have raised an issue on twitter that the road along the Green Belt going from Sector 78 to 79 is sinking at several spots and the manhole cover in front of Elite Golf Green Sector 79 is prone to accidents.

They shared a tweet, “@noida_authority सेक् 78 से 79 की तरफ जाते ग्रीन  बेल्ट के साथ साथ रोड बहुत जगह से धंस रहा है और इलीट गोल्फ ग्रीन सेक्79  के सामने मैंनहोल का ढक्कन दुर्घटना संभावित है।कृपया समय रहते कदम  उठाये। @Mukesh2121971 @CeoNoida @PankajSinghBJP @dr_maheshsharma  @NoidaVoice1 @7xsportscity.”

According to the residents, after the completion of work, the road sinked within two or three months. The condition of the manhole is pathetic and it may cause accidents.

A resident on twitter quoted, “In 90 percent of Noida roads, when a new road is being built, the manhole cover is below the new surface. This increases chances of accidents for 2 wheelers. Never seen a neat job in this area.”

A resident of Sector 78, Devender Singh Rathore said, “Authority thought it is not a major issue. The manhole cover in front of Elite Golf Green Sector 79 is prone to accidents. Tyres of a car will be stuck at night in sinked road along with the green belt. The situation is the same in the entire Noida. After the completion of work, the residents are  facing the issue of potholes, road sinking and manholes. I would request authority to take prominent action.”

Another resident, on the condition of anonymity, said, “If the situation remains the same, this road may cause an accident for any commuter. The road sinked along with the green belt is a major issue.”
