Residents protest against builder at Emaar Imperial Gardens

Gurugram: Residents of Emaar Imperial Gardens, Sector 102, Gurugram, staged a protest against the Emaar builder at his office on Saturday. Holding banners, placards, and raising slogans, the protesters alleged that the builder is not replying to them for resolving the prevalent issues of the society.

They further alleged that the builder has failed to provide basic facilities, security and maintenance to them. They said that the builder is levying high maintenance charges but still residents are facing difficulties.

Bhisham Kaushik, a resident of the society, said, “We decided to visit Emaar Sikanderpur Office at 12:30 pm to raise society's issues. We have done so in the past as well but the builder is not bothering to reply/resolve them. Emaar employees are not listening and keep on delaying things.”

“Improve your Customer Services”, “Do not misuse customer deposits”, was written on the banners held by the residents.

Another resident, Amit Yadav, said, “We have duly paid common area maintenance charges but we still don’t have an audit record for it, which we think the builder is misusing. We are already paying CAM charges then why are we supposed to pay common area electricity charges? Then why is the builder asking for these electricity charges separately?”

“We want builders to stop asking us to pay Common Area Electricity (CAE) charges. Also, we don’t know what exactly the builder is doing with the CAM charges that we residents pay, there is absolutely no record for that. The builder said he will paint the building after two years but it is still not done. There are many more pending issues that we are raising in this protest. Maintenance charges are high and the work is zero,” he said.
