Ghaziabad: In view of the rain alert, the district administration of Ghaziabad has ordered to close the schools for classes 1 to 12 on October 18 and 19. The whole Delhi-NCR area has been receiving rain since Sunday.
On the other hand, the district administration said that the schools can however carry on the examinations if they are going on.
The order was tweeted from DM Ghaziabad's official handle. Following showers on Sunday, many areas in Ghaziabad faced waterlogging. The schools are likely to reopen on Wednesday.

The action was taken after an alert was sounded by the weather department. As per the weather department, the Delhi-NCR area is likely to receive light rain in the next 2-3 days. There is a forecast of heavy rain on October 21.
