Galaxy Royale: Fire Officer finds many shortcomings during inspection

Greater Noida: A fire audit was conducted at the Galaxy Royale society, Gaur City 2, Greater Noida West by a Fire Officer, during which many shortcomings were found. This society has more than 500 flats and around 400 families are already living there. The visit was done on October 18 which was already scheduled by the officials.

They checked the three fire sprinklers, out of which, none of them were in working condition. A letter will also be sent to the builder officially by the authority to provide proper details on this failure. This was a scheduled visit that was decided for five more societies.

Tanmay Tyagi, a resident of Gaur City 2, said, “The fire safety preparation check was conducted by the district fire safety officer yesterday at Galaxy Royale society located in Gaur City 2. In the audit, various checks were performed to witness the preparedness of any unforeseen fire event in the society. During the safety check, it was found that the fire suppression equipment is faulty and is not performing. As always committed by the builder to all the residents, world-class safety standards were found out to be fake and hollow.”

He also added, “This check was carried out in complete society and the overall result was non-satisfactory. The fire safety officer took strict cognizance of the matter and strictly instructed the maintenance team to immediately rectify the issues and submit a compliance report. The fire department shall visit again to check the preparedness again randomly.”

While residents are unhappy with this lethargic attitude of the builder towards the safety of the residents and their families, they were praiseworthy of the fire department for their surprise check and finding out the issues which need to be resolved as soon as possible. Residents demand these surprise audits and checks to happen more frequently.
