La Residentia- No maintenance in charge in the society for last 3 months

Around 1200 plus residents of La Residentia, a society in Greater Noida West, have been facing problems due to the unavailability of maintenance in charge in the society. Residents approached Greater Noida Authority for this issue. By taking this matter into concern, the authority visited the society and took some photographs. They further issued two challans on the builder. Residents said there is no maintenance manager in the society which further leads to several problems. They also said that there is no facility of garbage collection, proper security and common area sanitation in society. They further said that there have been incidents of life malfunctioning as well.

According to the residents, whenever they raise these issues to the builder and demand better facilities, the builder always says that there are some pending maintenance dues from the residents' sides.

Sumil Jalota, a resident of La Residentia, said, “Most of the people who are not paying maintenance are the ones who have some dispute with the builder or are not living in the society and have taken possession and locked their flats waiting for the registry to happen before shifting. We have asked the builder multiple times to issue legal notices to the people not paying the maintenance dues. However, that hasn't been done. Further, the builder uses it as an excuse to not provide maintenance. Builder is also not getting  an audit done for the maintenance collection as per the rules which again says that there's something fishy happening in the background with our money”.

Abhishek Chauhan, a resident of the society, said, “If anything happens tomorrow, there is no one who can take responsibility for it. This notice that has been stuck to the door because there was no one from the maintenance office to receive that notice. There are two challans that have been issued to the builder, one is related to garbage treatment as there is no garbage treatment machine in the society. Another one is from the Police as we residents complained that there is no maintenance in charge in the society. No directors receive calls, whenever they do, they always say that there is some pending maintenance amount from some residents of the society. However, we have always asked builder to issue notices to such residents as many of us have paid the maintenance fee and particularly in advance also. Around more than 500 residents have already paid maintenance fees in advance and we have that data”.

Another resident, Shiv Tyagi, said, “There is no maintenance in charge here. We have been facing problems in this society since the time this project was allotted. The pillars are deteriorating day by day”.

We tried to contact the builder but he didn’t receive our call. We will update the article once he responds to the queries.
