Dwarka: Potholes, uncovered drains and broken drain covers in different locations of Dwarka sub-city has become a nightmare for commuters as well as for pedestrians. The prevailing condition can result in some disastrous accidents.
Anusha Gupta, a commuter, said, “This is indeed shocking! While there are so many agencies working on different aspects of infrastructure maintenance, nobody has bothered to repair it. These are indeed very busy roads of Dwarka.”
If you are commuting in Dwarka and going towards Sector 3 along the master plan road 201, you should be careful while taking the turn through the slip road at Sector 3/4/12/13 Chowk towards Sector 3. There is a big pothole in the middle of the slip road due to which, the vehicles have to slow down to low speed in order to cross that spot.
It is nothing short of a roller coaster ride for commuters driving on the roads of Sector 10, Dwarka. The entire stretch leading from Sector 10 market to metro station lane of Sector 10, Dwarka, has become unsafe for people to travel and is giving nightmares to the residents and commuters because of potholes and bad roads.
The photo-based report shows the poor state of open drains and dumped silts and damaged roads in Sector 11 market of the sub-city.
Shruti Handa, a commuter from Sector 9, while talking to CitySpidey said, “Moreover, the open drains also pose a threat to animals in the area. It has happened many times that pets and street dogs have fallen in the drain.”
CitySpidey tried contacting DDA officials in regards of the same but couldn't reach them.
