Dwarka: On 22nd October, Dwarka Forum governing body meeting was held with the Delhi Jal Board at their office in Dwarka sector 20. The meeting was attended by S. N. Prasad, Executive Engineer of Delhi Jal Board, R. S. Meena, Assistant Executive Engineer. Anita Jain Zonal Revenue Officer and Sushil Bhasin, Zonal Engineer were also present in the meeting.
Dwarka Forum (DF) handed over a letter to the Officials of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on various issues of Dwarka Sub-City pertaining to the Delhi Jal Board. Dwarka Forum discussed several civic issues ranging from timings of water supply in various Dwarka sectors, choked sewer lines and replacement of some rusted pipes of the waterline.
The matter regarding low water pressure in some societies was also discussed in detail. In this regard, DJB informed that action is being taken on priority.
Dwarka Forum also discussed some issues related to the Revenue Department of DJB, ranging from rebate policy, issue of water Bills without installation of water meters and current procedure for new water connections etc.
DF brought to the notice of the DJB of the few unauthorised water connections in some areas of Sub-City.
It was also decided that DJB will provide the Sector-wise list of command tanks and officials deputed with their contact numbers to Dwarka Forum.
The Governing Body of Dwarka Forum shared the feedback received from various residents with the officials of DJB.
A S Chhatwal, General Secretary, Dwarka Forum, said, "The feedback provided by Dwarka residents particularly regarding the low water pressure in some Societies was discussed in detail. DJB assured us to take appropriate action on priority. However, DF will continue to pursue the matter till the water supply becomes normal in such Societies. The meeting was conducted in a very good atmosphere. DJB officials took note of all the points that emanated during discussions and assured to take all possible steps to solve these issues."
The Executive Engineer, Zonal Revenue Officer and other concerned officials who attended the meeting took note of all the points that emanated from the discussions. The officials assured to take all possible steps on the issues discussed, at the earliest to make citizens' lives more comfortable.
