4 decades of handcrafted social service

On my visit to the trade fair, I came across a stall dealing in a variety of handbags, jute bags, sling bags and other embroidered handmade items. The small detailing on the bags was truly unique and beautiful. The stall is registered under the name Uttarakhand Parvatiya Adarsh Shiksha Sangh, an NGO in Uttarakhand. Mr KD Singh and his wife, who work in the NGO have been attending the trade fair for the past 40 years.

The India International Trade Fair (IITF) is organized every year at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The theme of the trade fair Atmanirbhar Bharat focuses on the economy, export potential, infrastructure supply chain, demand, and vibrant demography. The fair is an extravaganza of participants from states, government ministries, domestic and international businesses.

Mr KD and his wife live in Almora, Uttarakhand. It has become a tradition for them to attend the trade fair and raise funds by selling their products for the betterment of their NGO.

Adarsh Shiksha Sangh NGO supplies underprivileged individuals with basic needs including food, clothing, and housing, for free. In addition to this, they hope to empower marginalized populations by teaching them skills that would enable them to obtain work and improve their status. This provides not just a solid present but also a potential future for the impoverished, allowing them to avoid suffering.

Mr Singh stated that he loves working for the NGO. The kind of respect and love he receives from everyone is enormous. My wife is my support system; she is always there to help me and empower me. "My whole life has gone into serving this NGO, and I am proud of it."

This Power couple is genuinely an inspiration for many out there. The social work they are doing is commendable. If you are visiting IITF 2021, do not forget to stop by their stall and support their NGO for a larger cause.
