Dwarka: Two Neelgai were witnessed today morning by R.P Bhardwaj, a resident of Sector 22, during his morning walk in a neighbourhood park of Sector 22. Bhardwaj shared a video clip of the animals in WhatsApp groups of residents of Dwarka with an aim to make people aware of such animals and expressed concern over the protection of such animals in urban settings. He also expressed concern for the commuters who could meet an accident with these animals roaming unrestricted on road. In a conversation with CitySpidey, he said that the concerned authorities must take the subject of the protection of these animals seriously and of traffic concerns as well and do the needful.
Bhardwaj expressed the entire episode. Says he, “It was around 10:00 am, I was walking in the park behind Mount Carmel Jr School, Sector 22. Suddenly, two Neelgai entered the park and we got scared. They seemed to be confused and panicking. So I stopped walking and kept an eye on them for my safety. In a while, they moved to a corner and jumped the wall to go on the main road. I made the video to show what actually happened. They were confused and fast and could have been the cause of an accident on the road. I guessed that they came from the area around a water body in Sector 23.”
