Palm Olympia residents demand full control of the society

Noida: The tussle between the residents of Palm Olympia, Sector 16C, Gaur City 2, and its builder has increased. Since 2017, residents have been struggling to get the basic amenities in society. In the same year, they formed the Apartment Owner Association (AOA) and demanded the handover of the management of the society from the builder.

In 2020, the Allahabad High court passed the order to hand over the management of the Society, along with the entire IFMS (security deposit) as well as the originals of the plans and other relevant documents to the AOA as per section 14(5) of the Uttar Pradesh Apartment Act, 2010.

Recently, on November 12, 2021, Greater Noida Authority sent a letter to the builder instructing him to hand over the society’s management till November 30, 2021. However, it didn't happen, the residents are still demanding the handover of the management of the society.

The Palm Olympia project started in 2010, and possession started in 2016. Society has 12 towers and 1480 families living in the society. Residents shared that the society has pending issues such as seepage from the basement pillars which is not being repaired by the builder, and the construction of the park and the backside gate of the society is not completed.

SS Bisht (63), AOA President says, “Why is the builder denying the high court and the authority orders? OSD has sent a letter to the builder. We have also sent an email to the builder but he is not doing anything. The OSD of Greater Noida Authority has said that they would raise this issue in the upcoming board meeting.”

Mukesh Kumar Singh(46), General Secretary of the society says, “ There are a lot of pending issues in society. Instead of a requirement of 6 inches water pipeline, the builder uses 4 inches due to which the water does not flow properly. Residents are deprived of the basic amenities in society. Builder is denying the high court order and the Greater Noida authority letter.”
