Greater Noida: The Noida Extension Flat Owner Welfare Association, in collaboration with the district administration on January 10, administered free Covid vaccine to more than 350 children of Greater Noida West, within the age group of 15-18 years. 

For the convenience of the parents and children of Greater Noida West, the association organised free vaccination camps in two private schools of Greater Noida West. The first camp was set up at Gaur International School in Sector-16C, GreNo West and the second at  Pacific World School in Techzone-4.

NEFOWA Vice President Rahul Garg says, "Nefowa was in constant touch with the district administration to organize the camp after the campaign for the vaccination for children started. We contacted several schools as soon as the permission was received from the district administration and the schools voluntarily gave their consent for the camp".

Several residents of Greater Noida have appreciated the efforts of the association for arranging vaccination camps in nearby localities.

According to the information by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, over 20 million teenagers aged 15-18 years have been given the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine since January 3, 2022, in India. According to the official figures, Uttar Pradesh topped the list of states that has administered the most shots to this age category, with 1,715,615 children receiving the jab between January 3 and 7.
