Dwarka has banked a major share in the budget approved by the Delhi Development Authority for the year 2022-23. In a total allocation of Rs. 2922 crore for 2022-23, Dwarka will get support for many ongoing and new ambitious projects for the sub-city.

For the sub-city and its better connectivity to other parts of the capital and to other states, DDA has signed a MoU with National Highway Authority of India for the Construction of Urban Extension Road –II (UER) as a national highway. During the rainy season, communities residing in Sector 8 face severe water logging issues due to the draining out water discharge from the IGI airport. To resolve the problem, DDA has provision of Rs 47.49 crore in BE 2022-23 for construction of sewage water drain at Sector-8, Dwarka. This will cater the discharge of drain water from Airport and development and rehabilitation of Trunk Drain No 2 and Trunk Drain No 5 for reusing the drain water for horticulture purposes. Once completed, this project is expected to comprehensively address the problem of inundation of IGI Airport, every time there is heavy rainfall.

The work for the development of the Bharat Vandana Park with a project cost of Rs.560 crore in Dwarka Sub-city is already in progress. The project, spread over an area of 80 hectares, is being executed by NBCC. DDA has provision of Rs. 280 Crore in this year's budget for this particular project to give it a pace.

There are many sports facilities to be developed in Dwarka in future. A sum of Rs 546 crore has been provided in BE 2022-23 for promotion of sports in Delhi by DDA . This includes expenditure on the ongoing project of construction of three new sports complexes at Dwarka and a Golf Course. Apart from the development of sports infrastructure, DDA has also planned to set up Utsav Pandals across Delhi with an approved budget of Rs 6 crores in the different areas. Dwarka is one of those areas.
