If you have been shivering in the past two days, gear up for colder days ahead. Indian Meteorological Department, on Monday, i.e., January 24, predicted that the minimum temperatures in northwest and central India might drop by three to five degrees in the coming five days. This may lead to colder days in Delhi and cold waves in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
MeT department has also predicted that the minimum temperature is likely to fall by four to five degrees in East India in the subsequent four days.
In a bulletin, IMD says, "Cold wave conditions very likely over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh during 25th-29th; over Gujarat Region during next 4 days over Rajasthan during next 5 days; over West UP during 27th–29th; over north Madhya Maharashtra on 26th & 27th and over East UP on 28th & 29th on Jan, 2022."
It also says, "Dense to very Dense fog conditions in night/morning hours very likely in isolated pockets over Punjab & West Uttar during next 2 days;"
and over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh & Saurashtra & Kutch during next 2 days.

IMD has also issued a yellow alert for January 25 and 26 in Delhi as cold day conditions have been predicted.
