Shaktimaan to return on the big screen in 2022

There is good news for all the 90's kids who grew up watching all the Shaktimaan episodes on Television. It might surprise you that our very own India's Superhero is back in 2022. We may also follow DC and Marvel ardently yet as Indians, nothing beats the nostalgia of our desi superhero, 'Shaktimaan'.

If you remember, Shaktiman has its two accompanied companions, Dholu and Babli. They were always there to help and protect the world with their supernatural powers, as gifted by Maa Durga.

Shaktimaan, possibly India's most famous superhero to date, is slated to make his big-screen debut, according to Sony Pictures India. A trilogy based on the Indian superhero Shaktimaan will be released for fans. Sony Pictures India has collaborated with Bheeshm International and Brewing Thoughts for this ambitious project.

The iconic TV show, which aired on DD National from 1997 till the mid-2000s, featured performer Mukesh Khanna as the titular superhero and his alter ego Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastriji, a geeky photographer at a newspaper.

"After the super success of our many superhero films in India and all over the globe, it's time for our desi Superhero!" Sony Pictures Films India said in a tweet."

Details about the director and other cast are kept under wraps and will disclose shortly. Currently, only the movie announcement teaser has come out and the Millenials can't simply keep calm.
