Dwarka: Residents of Adarsh Apartments, Sector 3 Pocket 16 became aware about home composting in a workshop organised today at the central park of the society. The workshop was organised by CitySpidey in association with Rise Foundation.

Madhuri Varshney, Anuradha GR and Madhukar Varshney gave demonstrations and lectures in the workshop for the benefit of residents on various aspects of waste management. They talked about home composting extensively. On the other hand, they also shared some data about global warming, carbon emission and the negative effects of single use plastic. Further in the event, they asked people to start managing waste at home and to try to stop the use of plastics.

Apart from this, the concept of eco-bricks was also demonstrated in the event. Rise Foundation announced that it would make beautiful benches voluntarily for the society.

On the occasion, people present there shared their views and asked queries on composting and the making and use of eco-bricks. General Secretary of RWA, Devesh Mundepi shared his own effort at home for composting and told about how he managed waste at home. He said that for more than a year, no wet waste was taken outside his home and all of it was converted into compost.

President of RWA, Ashwini Thakur appealed to the people present to make eco-bricks, using which, a beautiful hedge could be made for the roundabout in the park of the society.
