Always use blotting paper to clear the extra oil off your face. Don't use your hands to clean the excess oil as it can transfer the bacteria from your hands to your face. Bring blotting papers with you when you go out, and use them if your face gets too oily. Gently tap these thin small papers on your skin's shiny and grimy-looking zones.

Use sunscreen

Being in the sun can cause your skin to produce more oil, making it even greasier. To protect yourself from the sun's harmful UV rays, apply broad-spectrum gel-based sunscreen to your face. Make sunscreen a must-have item in your skincare routine. Limit your exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours, and wear UV-blocking sunglasses.

Don't overwash your face

Your skin is made up of several layers that protect it from dust, pollution, UV rays, and other elements while also keeping it hydrated. When you overwash your face, your skin loses moisture, leading it to feel that it has to produce more oil in order to rehydrate.

Exfoliate

To remove dead skin cells that clog your pores, exfoliate your face once or twice a week. Over-exfoliation of the face, on the other hand, might impair your skin's protective layer by removing important oils and moisture. This could lead to an increase in sebum production

Natural face masks

Healthy skin can be achieved by using natural face masks such as sandalwood or Multani mitti. They help to absorb excess oil from the face, remove pollutants and bacteria, and relax your skin after a long summer.

Keep a check on what you are eating

Your diet is extremely important in maintaining the health of your skin. Avoid junk and oily foods as much as possible, especially during summer. No matter how appealing junk food may appear, try to eat a healthy,
balanced diet that includes a variety of colourful fruits and green leafy vegetables. Always remember to eat on time and include foods high in antioxidants in your meals.

Drink plenty of water and juices as well. It will assist to balance your skin's oil production while also keeping it nourished.
