Noida: Cyclists demand dedicated cycling lanes for safer rides

Noida: The cycling groups of Noida are demanding a dedicated cycling lane. This comes after the accident that happened on May 17, 2022, on Noida-Greater Greater Expressway.

A member of a cycling group in Noida, Rajeev Singh informed that the demand for a dedicated cycling lane is not new. The cyclists of Noida have been asking for the same for the last four years now. However, there has been no significant development in this direction. Singh says that if there would be a dedicated cycling lane, the number of accidents will significantly fall. He says, "Many people go to their office on cycle and apart from them, there are several other cyclists who go for their morning and evening rides. In the absence of a dedicated lane, it is risky to take cycles out on roads. They take a risk every time they use the main road.
