Dwarka: A fire incident was reported in Matiala, Dwarka late at night on May 30, 2022. As gathered from the Police, they received a call regarding a fire in the basement parking of a building at main Matiala road around 01:30 am. A total of four fire tenders came to the site. During the incident, five persons got minor burn injuries and were rushed to Safdarjang Hospital by DFS(Delhi Fire Service ) unit.

As gathered, a fire had erupted in electric meter boards due to which it spread to 10 vehicles (motorcycles and cars) in the basement parking.
As there was dense smoke, all the 52 residents (24 women, 24 men, and 04 children) were evacuated by DFS personnel from the building to a safe place.

The building comprises of basement, ground plus four floors. The area is about 400 sq yards and has a total of 26 flats.
