Greater Noida: On May 20, 2022, at around 12:15 in the noon, fire broke out in a vacant plot behind The Millennium School, near Amrapali multiplex project, Knowledge Park 5, Greater Noida. The fire was controlled promptly by Ecotech’s fire safety unit. Fire Safety Officer Ajay Kumar and his fire unit from Ecotech 3 reached the spot on time and controlled the fire.
As per the FSO Ajay Kumar, the possible reason for the fire could be the wood scrap and the dry leaves lying in the plot converted into a dump yard.

FSO Ajay Kumar says, “There was no report of this incident and nobody informed us about the fire. This incident took place at around 12:25 pm. We saw the clouds of fumes in the air and we instantly reached the spot. The fire was spreading speedily. My whole unit dedicatedly worked to control the fire and now the fire has been put out.”
He continues, “People use this plot as a dump yard and this might be the possible reason for the fire to spread at a fast pace. There are so many dry leaves here, that they can easily catch fire. The good part is there was no casualty.”
Manish Kumar, Senior Vice President, Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association says, “I witnessed this fire at 1.05 pm, the fire unit was present there and were actively working on their mission. The fire ignited in the dry bushes in the plot. We request the people not to use the vacant plots as the dump yards.”
