The aim of the SWAG team is to motivate women to look after their health and stay fit through physical activities. Bicycle riding has long been one of the major activities promoted by the group. The Swag group participates in various activities like swimming, badminton, cycling, and Yoga among others.
The Swag group was started by Bhawna Gaur, a housewife, and Co-founder Barnali Mahela, who is a Biology teacher with a vision to bring women into sports. The two ladies started the group during the pandemic when everything was shut down, to get a semblance of fresh air and normalcy when the world seemed grim.
