Greater Noida West: They say women are an emphatic force and there is nothing more superior than a mom's power. Proving this right is Meenakshi Singh, a resident of Supertech Capetown, sector 74.

Ever since childhood, Meenakshi dreamt of being a businesswoman. Although not in a corporate firm, Meenakshi has emerged as a successful entrepreneur. In a world where most people cannot find a work-life balance with one job, Meenakshi is successfully running 3 businesses while also taking care of her family.

Apart from being a mother, Meenakshi is a beautician, a garment seller and a dry fruit seller. In her 3 BHK house, one room is a beauty parlour, the other is a small boutique and dry fruit store while she keeps the third for her and her son.

She moved to Noida in 2017 after leaving her job as a primary teacher. "After moving to Noida, I wanted to start something of my own. I always had an interest in beauty and makeup. For that, I even took training early on in life. So, I opened my parlour from home. Thankfully, it picked up." she says

In 2019, her husband went abroad, and because of Covid, parlour services came to a halt. Meenakshi decided to start a garment business where she sells Western and Indian wear within her housing society and other neighbouring housing societies. She also runs a Facebook page and sends orders to places as far as Bengal and Assam.

Thereafter, Meenakshi got the opportunity of being a dry fruit seller.

"In life, it's important to grab every opportunity that comes our way.  I want to keep on flowing like a river. When I decided to quit teaching, I started Beauty Parlour services. When the parlour was closed, I kept my feet running by selling the dry fruits."  says Meenakshi

Along with running her 3 businesses, Meenakshi always makes sure to find time for her family. She not only helps her son with his studies but also finds time for entertainment like watching movies or shopping with her loved ones. "Family has always been my priority. I think this comes from my father who taught me the importance of family," says she.

We asked Meenakshi how does she manage everything. She says, "Everything depends on our attitude. I never say that I have to do so many things. I always say that I love to do laundry, I love to cook, I love to take care of my son, and I love to be a businesswoman. If we change our attitude, everything can be achieved."

In a message to other women entrepreneurs, she says, "This is your life and your time. Either you can make it, or you can waste it. We are warriors and can make our way in any sphere of life. So keep working towards your dreams."
