Noida: Over the years, the momo has emerged as the official street food of Delhi. The city has embraced this Nepalese food to such an extent that it is available every 500 metres in the city. Among these, some have become extremely popular. One such landmark momo place is 'Aunty momos' at Noida sector 18 market.

Nestled among various street treats of the market, Aunty Momos has its own fan base. Every morning and evening, youngsters and middle-aged employees come here to indulge in the authentic homemade momos made by Mona Devi and her husband.

The momo joint was started by the couple 21 years ago in 2001 after moving here from Darjeeling, West Bengal. "One source of income was not enough to survive in the city. So, we decided to sell homemade momos" says Mona Devi. The couple started their shop by selling veg and chicken momos. Now, they sell more than six varieties of momo and hundreds of visitors come here each day. For many years, Mona Devi used to sit at the stall, and thus the place was christened Aunty momos by the daily visitors.
