Delhi: In order to improve the condition of the roads, Delhi Government has suggested the authorities concerned to undertake repair or maintenance work of at least one road a week. They have suggested that the organizations concerned should take responsibility for roads that come under their areas.

Issues such as pot holes, damaged footpaths, damaged central verge, road paints, street lights, road reflectors among others are to be taken care of under this initiative. The Delhi Government has further said that this initiative should also include cleanliness of roads by ensuring removal of garbage dumps, C&D waste, plastic waste and any other waste.

The Delhi Government has asked all the organizations such as MCD, NDMC, PWD, DDA, Delhi Cantonment, NHAI, etc., to accordingly prepare their action plan. Market Welfare Association (MWAs) and Resident Welfare Association (RWAs) may be involved during such maintenance drives to involve more people.

As per the Delhi government, the roads are cleaned and repaired, the organisations need to ensure to maintain the roads in good condition by regular cleaning and maintenance works.
