Dwarka: Pruning of overgrown trees to make traffic signals visible

Dwarka: In an attempt to make commuting in Dwarka safer, Delhi Traffic Police and DDA Horticulture department are pruning the overgrown trees to make the traffic signals more visible to the commuters. This is an ongoing joint effort by the traffic police and DDA Horticulture department happening at several locations across Dwarka.

Area Traffic Inspector, Rajbir Singh informed CitySpidey that the drive is to be carried out across the sub-city over the next couple of days to make traffic signals visible.

Several RWAs of Dwarka had been raising the issue of hidden traffic signal lights due to overgrown trees and the work for the same is finally in motion. President of Dwarka Forum, Sushil Kumar has welcomed the move of the authorities. “This should have been done earlier but we are glad that finally someone has paid heed to our demands. We welcome the initiatove and give our thanks to police and DDA both,” says he.
