NEFOWA announces plantation competition as part of mega drive

Greater Noida: NEFOWA Foundation is all set to host its Vrihad Vriksharopan Karyakram (a massive plantation drive) on July 24, 2022.  As part of this, team NEFOWA has announced a mega plantation competition. This competition will run from July 2022 to Holi, which is in March 2023. For this, the participants are required to plant one tree each month and to post a selfie on social media handles, tagging NEFOWA or emailing their picture. The top 10 participants will be felicitated by NEFOWA in a massive program.

During the plantation drive, various events such as cycling rallies, painting competitions, and planting trees with a selfie to create awareness around the environment. Members of NEFOWA have appealed to all residents to participate in this mega plantation drive.

Timing for the plantation will be decided by the respective society members usually before 11 am. NEFOWA will provide e-certificates to the participants. For the plantation drive, NEFOWA will help in making the holes for the plantation and will also provide plants for the same. Participants before the plantation have to fill out an oath-taking form for taking care of the plant or tree.

NEFOWA members also inform that on July 24, every participant will gather at the Char Murti chowk at 6 am for the cycling rally. The rally will start from there, followed by the Ek Murti Chowk, Ryan School Nirala estate, and end at the NEFOWA office. All participants are expected to bring a helmet for the same.

On the same day, a painting competition will be organized for children to create awareness among them about conserving and saving nature. Central Noida ACP Yogendra will give certificates to all the riders and children for participating in the ride and painting competition on July 31, 2022.
