Crossings Republik: Plantation drive organized by Sanskritik Kala Sangam Samiti

Ghaziabad: On July 17, 2022, the Sanskritik Kala Sangam Samiti, a community that works towards the betterment of environment in the Crossings Republik township, led a plantation drive with several members from many societies. Together, the people planted around 500 saplings to make the area greener.

According to residents of the Crossings Republik township, they feel good when such steps are taken to save environment. This plantation drive was attended by approximately 20 people from various societies, including senior citizens and children.

Ram Mehar Singh Malik, the Chowki incharge of Crossings Republik police station, says, "I have been involved in such plantation drives for the past two years, and I feel good when citizens organise such drives. They are undoubtedly important for the betterment of the environment."

Rohit Chaudhary, a resident of GH7 society, says, "I have been connected to the organisation since it was formed in 2015 and every year, I like to take part in such an activity. Last year, we planted 1500 saplings and around 90% of them are growing well. This year, we have also planted 500 saplings."

Avni Chaudhary, a kid from GH7 society, says, "I feel good when I participate in such work with my father. Every work related to the environment makes me happy, and I also enjoy gardening at my home."

According to Vivek Sharma, a residents of Crossing Republik township, "Every year when I find out that the plantation drive is going to be held, I get excited. This kind of work gives happiness to us and I am glad a lot of people were a part of it."
