Apart from observing the fast for the longevity of their husbands, another major part of Karwachauth is dressing up for the occasion. Several Bollywood celebrities celebrated Karwachauth yesterday and well, gave a whole new look-book to talk about. Here are some of the best dressed Bollywood celebrities on Karwachauth-
As she celebrated her first Karwachauth, Katrina looked mesmerising. Katrina Kaif wore a gorgeous Sabyasachi saree on her first Karwachauth. The actress chose an elegantly draped traditional pink net saree and a floral green blouse. She decided to accessorize it with stunning red chooda, a red bindi, extravagant gold earrings and a simple necklace. For her first Karwa Chauth, Katrina chose to wear middle-parted smooth hair and with minimal makeup.
Every year at Karwachauth, Shilpa is known to flaunt her red outfit and that's exactly what she did for this year as well. This year, Shilpa Shetty wore a stunning red saree by Gopi Vaid. The not-so-basic red saree was embellished with a sleeveless top, a plunging neckline, a ruffled drape, and a golden border. Shilpa's mangal sutra, a diamond and emerald necklace, a little bindi, lovely red bangles, and a chic red potli-bag with pearl adornment finished off the ensemble. She certainly looks gorgeous in her modern-fusion costume and kohl-eyed makeup.
The golden coloured saree looked terrific on Raveena; her saree had embroidered borders and she chose a designer blouse with a long neck. She opted for a lovely emerald green contemporary neckpiece for the jewellery. She chose to make a sleek middle-parted bun and adorned it with a nice gajra around it.
We all know Sonam Kapoor can't go basic, despite her decision to stay with the traditional pink and green. She opted for a Gaurang Shah pink and gold lehenga with a striking border and a stunning green blouse for the occasion. The actress added heavy gold jewellery to her ethnic ensemble, including a regal necklace, a lovely pair of jhumkas, and customary kadas/bangles.
Well, with her new show topping charts on Netflix, Maheep is no less than a Bollywood celebrity for us. She wore a nice green colour three piece set for the Karwachauth and it was refreshing to see somebody wearing other than a saree or suit. Maheep's monochromatic look was nice; her green jewellery and hair were up to the mark. The little potli on the side looked cute. Her makeup was light and lustrous; in short, we liked makeup Karwachauth's attire.
Another popular Bollywood wife, Neelam Kothari, wore a multitextured sharara set for Karwachauth. She looked beautiful in her set. Neelam has always been known for her poised behaviour and non-experimental looks. But this year, she opted for something out of the box, unlike her simple colours and it turned out to be amazing. Her jewellery, makeup and nice ponytail looked great.
We can't stop staring at Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar as they celebrate their first Karwa Chauth together. Mouni Roy posted photos from the celebrations. Mouni looks stunning in the pictures wearing a golden saree with red bangles and spectacular earrings. She kept her outfit minimum yet classy. From her earrings to her hair, everything looked wow. One thing we liked the most was the bun roses that were matching with her red choodha.
On Karwachauth, Preity Zinta was dressed to the nines in a yellow Patiala and a crimson and gold Saurabh & Rajeshwari dupatta. With a pearl mang tikka, large earrings, and gold kadas that looked like regal regalia, she completed her perfect Punjabi Karwa Chauth look.
