Residents have started an online campaign demanding the removal of all stray dogs

More than 10 stray dogs were captured from Noida's sector 100 after several complaints by residents to the Noida Authority regarding the presence of 'aggressive' dogs in the area. The step after the deadly attack on toddler on Lotus Boulevard society reported on October 17, 2022, leading to his death.

The residents had also staged a protest, demanding answers from Noida Authority on safety measures against violent canine attacks. After that, the OSD of Noida Authority, Indu Prakash, and the Assistant Commissioner of police (ACP-1, Noida), Rajneesh Verma, along with their team, visited the society to assure the residents regarding their safety.

As per ACP Verma, a team has been assigned to remove stray dogs from the society and the area since October 17, 2022. The strays would be sterilized and after that rehabilitated.

Meanwhile, as gathered, residents of Lotus Boulevard have started an online campaign demanding the removal of all stray dogs in the area. Ruchi Sneha, a resident of Lotus Boulevard says, "There are around 30 dogs out of which 12 have been captured till now and the remaining dogs are running and hiding, There is a team of three to four people which comes and they are trying to capture the dogs."
