Noida- Prateek Laurel society celebrates Diwali Mela after 2 years

Diwali has arrived and with it comes a wave of happiness in communities. After two years of Covid lockdown, the Prateek Laurel Society in sector 120 celebrated Diwali Mela with full splendour and tremendous enthusiasm on October 21, 2022. More than fifteen hundred residents from Noida societies took part in the celebrations.

Prateek Laurel residents share that they really enjoyed the event as it was held after 2 years. The event started around 5 pm and lasted till 10 pm. Different stalls: Home Decor, Jewellery, Decorative materials, Food stalls, Kid's games & Rides were organized at the mela.

The Prateek Laurel AOA (PLAOA) cultural committee also conducted events such as 'Ram Siya ki Jodi' skit performed by society children, Tambola, and DJ. To make things exciting, a committee member said, "We have distributed 10 grams of silver coins to all the winners."

Prabhat Mani Vats, the AOA President of Prateek Laurel, says, "The joyous atmosphere which we witnessed yesterday was just like we used to enjoy festivals before lockdown. Everyone was so happy. We had food stalls, programs, and games arranged by the cultural committee of the society. The footfall was more than expected and I wish everyone a very happy Diwali."

Amit Tripathi, the PLAOA board member, says, "It was an extremely well-organized and well-planned event. The residents enjoyed the event thoroughly. Thanks also to the members of the cultural committee for their hard work."

Sonia, a resident of Prateek Laurel Society, says, "It was a super se upar ka show. The joy is also double because the event happened after 2 years."

Sunil, a resident of Prateek Laurel says, "It was an excellent programme. I adored every minute of it, and the Tambola was fantastic. Thank you to everyone on the team, especially JP Agarwal, for putting up such a great event."
