Noida: The residents of Noida and Greater Noida are all set to celebrate Chhath Puja celebrations on a grand scale after two years. The preparations for the same are in full swing. In several societies of Noida and Greater Noida, artificial ponds have been made for the celebrations. The ghats have also been cleaned.
The four day celebration of Chhath Puja start on October 28, 2022, with Nahai-Khai. On the second day, October 29, 2022 is Kharna and on the following day, October 30, 2022 is Sandhya Argh and on the morning of October 31, 2022 is Paran or Usha Argh.
The President of Shree Suryadev Puja Committee (SSPC), Noida Munna Kumar Sharma, while talking about the preparations of Chhath Puja says, "Preparations for Chhath, the great festival of sun worship, are going on in full swing in many sectors of Noida. A Chhath Ghat has been constructed in Central Park, located between Golf City, Plot-8 and Panchsheel Pratishtha Society, Sector-75. The ghat is 50 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 4 feet deep. Arrangements are being made for clean water, light and more at the ghat."
He also says that on October 30, the SSPC will host a cultural event in the evening in Sector 71's Central Park. "Famous singers such as Kshama Pandey, Preeti Prakash, Devesh Kundan, and Pooja Mandal, among others, will perform Bhojpuri, Hindi, Magahi, Maithili, Angika, and Punjabi songs."
Just like every year, the Prateek Laurel Society in Noida Sector-120 will also grandly celebrate Chhath Puja in its swimming pool inside the society. The AOA team informs that they will organize cultural programs, which include performances by Purvanchal's Geet and Bhajan singer Sanjay Jha.
A small ghat has also been constructed in Sector-62 Rajat Vihar C-Block.
In Greater Noida West, a Chhath Ghat has been constructed near Cherry County society, also called Ek Murti Chhath Ghat. Rahul Garg, NEFOWA Vice President says, "NEFOWA, in association with the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, has prepared the ghat at Ek Murti. The place will host thousands of devotees. On October 29, Golu Raja, a Bhojpuri singer will be performing and Kavya Krishna Murti will perform Bhojpuri Bhajan on October 30."
The residents from Civitech Stadia, Noida Sector 79 celebrate Chat Puja on the terrace of the society together every year. Keeping up wit that tradition, this year as well, Civitech Stadia Welfare Association, along with some volunteers, has started preparations for Chhath. Along with a small ghat, preparations for food, music and more are being done.
Preparations for Chhath Puja have also started in Prateek Wisteria, a residential society in Sector 77. Nitesh Ranjan, AOA President of Prateek Wisteria informs that the bathing ponds and decorations will be made on the terrace of the society. "Chhath Puja is the last festival of the year and we wish to celebrate it wholeheartedly," says he.
Several other societies and associations across Noida will be hosting Chhath Puja celebrations, the preparations for which have started. Some of such celebrations will be held at Noida Stadium, Sector 21 A, Bhagat Singh Park in Sector 31, in Sector 12, 5, 49,62, 31, 82, 75, 110, 25, 45, 63A, 71, 116, 120, 135 and more. In Greater Noida, Chhath Puja will be held at locations such as Sheetla Mata mandir in Delta A, two parks in Knowledge Park near IEC college.
