With the Usha or Morning Arghya, Chhath Puja came to an end in Noida and Greater Noida societies. Finally, the vratis broke their fast with tasty delicacies. During sunrise, the devotees and the Vratees (who were observing fasts) offered Arghya to the Sun God using raw milk and Ganga Water. The Arghya ceremonies were performed by many devotees at Chhath Ghats and artificial ponds in many societies throughout Greater Noida and Noida.
Here is a glimpse of festivities from Noida and Greater Noida-
Ritesh Mishra, a resident of Stellar Jeevan society, Sector-1 Greater Noida says, "Hundreds of residents gathered to offer the morning Arghya. The famous teacher Avadh Ojha sir was also here to celebrate Chhath puja. It was a great pleasure to celebrate Chhath Puja with society residents."
Rahul Garg, Vice President of NEFOWA says, "A huge gathering of devotees and vratis assembled to offer Arghya to the rising Sun God at Ekmurti (Cherry County) Chhath Ghat. Many Chhath vratis arrived at the ghat with their families starting at 4:00 am. By 5:30 or 6:00 am, a large number of people arrived at the ghat. We are grateful for the facilities made at Ekmurti Chhath Ghat by the NEFOWA Foundation."
