With the officers of the Army serving the nation, their families too play an important role. The lives of army families involve moving constantly and starting life afresh. Bringing this experience to paper, 20 Army wives are presenting an exhibition 'Hues of Life' at the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS) gallery in New Delhi from November 25 to December 1, 2022.

These artists wanted to share their experiences with a large audience in the form of their art. "Hues of Life" represents the expressions, and emotions of people from different corners of India. The artworks range from Acrylic, watercolour, and oil paintings to pencil and charcoal sketches.

The exhibition is being organised by Olive Expressions, a group of 30 army wives who are pursuing their passion for knowledge and art. This is the first time that they have organized a solo exhibition of their group. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Deepa Malik, Paralympian and an Arjun awardee, and Archana Pande, President of AWWA (Army wives welfare association).

Shikha Sheoran, 52, an artist from the exhibition and a resident of Chankypauri says, "Most of us have not taken proper training in art but when we get appreciated for the work we do from the renowned artists who come to visit our exhibition we get motivated to do what we love."
