Classical melodies enthral audiences in Dwarka

On a classical evening for music lovers in Dwarka, a few days before Holi, Delhi Sangeet Sankalp organized an event at the Taalaangan Institute of Music in Sector 7, Dwarka, Delhi. This monthly baithak featured Raj Kumar Majumdar, an eminent Santoor player and disciple of the renowned Santoor maestro, the late Pandit Bhajan Sapori. Majumdar performed Raga Puriya Kalyan, accompanied by Ashish Mishra on the tabla, who kept up with the Santoor note by note.

The gathering was attended by classical music lovers from across the city, who enjoyed the performance and interacted with the artists about classical music and the Santoor instrument. The audience also requested specific notes to be played during the performance.
