Dwarkiites observe Janaushadhi Day with fanfare

Community members in Dwarka came together today at the Sector 6 market premises to observe Janaushadhi Day. The event was attended by hundreds of people from various backgrounds, including residents welfare associations, social organizations, and market associations, among others, all with the aim of spreading awareness about the Janaushadhi facilities.

The chief guest of the event was Bhupendra Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Government of India. In his address to the gathering, he informed attendees about the various health schemes run by the government and encouraged them to use the Janaushadhi facilities. Yadav also appreciated the people of Dwarka for their response in using the facilities available in the city.

Former Mayor and area councillor, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, was also present at the event, and Yadav asked her to organize camps to make people aware of the different health schemes available and how to avail themselves of the benefits.

In addition to spreading awareness about Janaushadhi, the event also recognized community members from different fields for their contributions to building society and the nation. This included writers, poets, and social activists, who shared their experiences and creations from the stage.

To promote the Janaushadhi facilities and connect with the community, users who have been using the facilities since their inception were given momentos as a token of appreciation. Vishal Gupta, founder of Radio Dwarka and a resident of Lovely Home Apartments Sector 5, was among those who received a momento from the Union Minister.

The All Dwarka Resident Federation and market association supported the event, which was organized by store coordinator Robin Sharma. Sharma expressed satisfaction with the response from the community, saying, "We tried to create a bonding in the community through the event and spread awareness about Janaushadhi. I am happy that the response from the community is encouraging."
