Members of Green Team who are residents of housing societies in Indirapuram resumed their cleanliness drive and have plans to carry the programme to other localities in the sprawling colony of Ghaziabad.

Green Team members from Ahinsa Khand 2, Indirapuram have resumed their neighbourhood cleanliness drives. The group has already completed two phases of its drives and more are to come. The first drive stretched from Shanti Gopal Hospital till Ashiana Upvan and the second one continued till Niho Scottish Garden. Group members said that rest of the drive will continue in the rest of the areas of Ahinsa Khand 2.
Residents from housing societies like Ahaiana Upvan, Niho Scottish Gardens, Cloud 9, among others, participated in the drive.
Jayati Jain, member of Green team told City Spidey that most of the departments of the GDA area co ordinating with residents. “We recently met Ritu Maheshwari, vice chairman of GDA over the issue. Following the meeting, we joined hands with the horticulture department and other departments. They have also provided staff along with water tankers and other requirements,” Jain said.
“A lot of work has to be done, the drains have to be cleaned, plantation has to be done, these issues will be taken up in the coming days. More residents and RWAs are joining in. For now, we have called a meeting at Ashiana Upvan to discuss the roadblocks in front of waste segregation at society level,” Jain further said.
