Schools and Colleges based in Ghaziabad area of Uttar Pradesh state will remain closed from July 26-July 30, as per the notice released by District Magistrates office.
Considering the changing weather conditions and the increasing number of devotees visiting Haridwar, District Majistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey, released the order on Thursday, July 25. The order has been passed keeping the safety of the children in mind.
The Kanwar Yatra is counted among the holiest yatras of the country. The annual pilgrimage of Lord Shiva devotees attracts thousands of people from across the country. These Kanwarias usually visit Haridwar, Gaumukh, Gangotri and Sultanganj.
