City magistrate seizes RMC plant in Noida Sector 107

A team comprising of officers from the district administration and UP Pollution Control Board on Thursday seized an operational ready mix concrete (RMC) plant in Sector 107, Noida.

The team led by Shailender Kumar Mishr, City Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar initiated action as the plant was being operated in violation to the environment norms.

According to a press release issued by the district spokesperson, the developer of Great Value Sharanam, a private reality company was illegally running an RCM plant in Sector 107. This plant was seized and four persons were arrested from the site. It further says, Shyam Kumar, and Rupesh Kumar, working as project managers with plant and two operators were arrested from the plant.

While revealing of joint seizure operation, BN Singh, District Magistrate, Gautam Buddha Nagar, told media that an unauthorised plant was seized today and similar action would be taken against all other unauthorised plants in the city. He said, "Operation of RMC is in violation of NGT norms and action will be taken as per the law."

Earlier, the district administration seized another RMC plant in Sector 50, which was causing dust pollution in the city. Two persons were arrested during the action.
