Noida: Residents of Golden Palm, a high rise in Sector 168, Noida, are in a state of fear because of frequent dog bite incidents happened in the society. They complained that senior citizens and children have also been victim of dog bite incidents.

According to residents, the stray animals on Thursday injured two residents namely Nain Wahal (61) and a six-year-old child of the society. 

Mohamad Ekbal, a resident of the society, informed the media that earlier a stray dog bit Bipin Bihari, a 80-year-old resident of the society. “He is no more,” Ekbal informed.

He complained that residents have been terrified after the frequent incidents. They feel unsafe in coming out of their homes as dogs roam up to 19 floors of residential towers in the society. 

Earlier, residents had lodged a complaint with the concerned authority regarding the stray menace. The authority also acted on complaints as it directed its agency for sterilization.

Ekbal said the agency had visited the society to catch a couple of dogs. They took them to dispensary for animals, where they might have sterilized them. But they again dropped them in the society.
