Noida: In commemoration to brave solider, H S Arora, Air Marshal on Wednesday laid wreath to pay homage to brave solider, who scarified lives fighting for nation. It was held on the eve of Vijay Diwas, for which a colourful ceremony was organised by Shadeed Smarak Sanstha in Sector 29, Noida

Rajpal Punia, Major General, Headquarter Delhi Area, S P Goswami, Major General, Sanjay Mishra, Rear Admiral, Jyoti Rana, Principal of Army Public School, Noida, Col (retired) I P Singh, Chairman of AVCC, Brig (retired) Shashi Vaid, Chairman of Arun Vihar Residents Welfare Association, Group Captain V Dayal, President of JVCC also laid wreath. 

It was carried out with military precision with tri service guard, buglers and band in attendance. Numbness in the eyes of families of martyrs, who were present on the occasion, was clearly visible when heroic story of their beloved was recalled and when one of the each martyr's family member was called to lay wreath. 

Choir group of Army Public School, Noida sang rousing patriotic songs. They gave a scintillating performance, leaving audience to applaud for them. After the formal wreath laying program concluded,  Arora interacted with families of martyrs present on the occasion. His wife distributed gifts among them.

Shaheed Smarak is an iconic landmark that no visitor can miss. It is situated on the Shaheed Smarak Marg, opposite Army Public School, Sector 37, Noida. 

Vintage AD guns 40 mm L 60, were displayed at the entry point, Naval Surface-to-Air missiles were installed in the South Eastern end of the Smarak Park and ISKRA Jet Trainer aircraft, of Polish origin, at the South Western corner of the memorial.
