Greater Noida: A group of residents from Saya Zion, a high-rise in Sector 4, Greater Noida, distributed school uniforms among the underprivileged children at Sathya Hari School in the district recently as the mercury dipped lower in the region.
The initiative was carried out under Saya Zion Seva Manch where around 45 children from deprived families were given school uniforms.
The new uniforms brought smiles on the faces of the children and they soon started trying their new clothes. The children also participated in reciting poems, patriotic songs etc for the gatherers and also spoke about importance of swacchta (cleanliness) and swacch bharat abhiyan.
Ramneesh Tangiri, the founder of the school, said that due to help from others, the condition of the school has improved drastically and would continue to get better with time. He aims to provide education to every child as he calls them a precious asset for future.
The team from Saya Zion consisted of Rajiv Railan, Rajendra, Dharmendra Bhatia, Amit, Adarsh, Rishi and AS Bisht.
