Greater Noida: Most often we refer to Greater Noida as the area which is planned with roads designed to suit commuters. But the way it has been maintained, raises a lot of questions to the authorities.
CitySpidey took a tour of the area to get an idea about its upkeep. During the tour, many lapses were found and it won't be an exageration to say that the area is ill-maintained.
Especially, the footpaths were found in a shabby state. At most of the places, the footpaths were developed over drains. Slabs were placed on the drains which is used by pedestrians.
These footpaths were located in front of the posh localities including several highrises. It was found that many slabs, which were put over the drains, were missing exposing pedestrians to imminent danger.
The horrible part was that the streetlights were also missing on these stretches where slabs were missing on the footpaths. The situation is such that the pedestrians now fear to stoll on these stretches.
It is virtually impossible to walk through these footpaths in the night.
