 New Delhi: Sparkle 2019-20, Inter Societies Sports Tournament, concluded here, on February 2, at AVB Public School on an annual colourful function of Federation Group Housing Societies (Regd.), IP Extension. 

On the occasion, children of the complex presented a cultural programme including a fancy dress show on various message-based themes. The programme prepared by members, Jyoti Mathur, Harjit Kaur (awarded by President for nursing), Kalpana Nathani and Ruchi Garg with the help of children over two months lasted for almost three hours.

In the end, all the sponsors and victorious children were honoured with mementoes, citations and prizes by the Union Minister of Human Resources Sanjay Dhautre, CA (charted accounted) Ved Jain, former president of ICAI and Rajiv Kumar, SHO Madhu Vihar police station.

The guests appreciated the efforts of the Federation in organising the programme. CA Ajay Gupta, general secretary/chief coordinator of Sparkle 2019-20, informed that the inter-society sports tournament is reintroduced in the memory of late Keshawanand and general secretary Late MN Bhattacharjee, the founders of the tournament. 

The out-door games, which lasted for about six weeks, were organised with the sole objective to keep the children healthy.

During the tournament, competitions were held in different sports disciplines including badminton, chess, table tennis, carom, On the spot painting, karate, and marathon. The tournament drew more than 1,800 participants from all the societies of IP Extension. More than fourteen different societies organised the events in their societies.
