Delhi sees massive drop in new infections; active cases below 10,000 mark

New Delhi: Delhi witnessed a significant drop in the daily new coronavirus cases on Tuesday. The city recorded 674 new cases taking the tally to 1,39,156. 

Active cases have now dropped below the 10,000 mark. Active cases declined by 310 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 9,897 active cases.

On the other hand, 972 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,25,226 patients have recovered in the national capital so far.

Fatalities also dropped significantly on Tuesday. With 12 fatalities, the death toll has now reached 4,033. 

9,295 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. 

“I am proud of you, Delhiites. Your “Delhi model" being discussed everywhere. But we shud (sic) not get complacent and take all precautions,” tweeted Kejriwal.
