New Delhi: Delhi Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) President Adesh Gupta and South Corporation Mayor Anamika Mithilesh on Tuesday launched a campaign against vector-borne diseases like Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya.

They flagged off 16 auto mounted PA (public address) systems, four power spray tankers and 26 motorised power sprayers mounted on trucks to combat the vector-borne diseases.

While lauding the efforts of corporations, Gupta said that all the three MCDs have launched this mega campaign from August 25 in their jurisdiction for the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases.

“All our MP, MLA and councillors will be on ground during this campaign for creating awareness among the citizens,” he said.

The Mayor said that it is necessary to generate awareness to control these diseases.

She said, “These autos will roam in all wards to forcefully disseminate the message on prevention of vector-borne diseases. The autos launched today will be able to bring awareness while roaming in the localities. We have to convey the message that it is very simple to control Dengue.”
