Noida: Acting on the directions from the Centre, the Uttar Pradesh government has lifted restrictions on the movement of people and goods at the state borders in National Capital Region.

Commuters are no longer required to show passes to cross Delhi-Noida and Delhi-Ghaziabad borders. But Arogya Setu App and green signal on it is mandatory for the commuters travelling between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

However, the restrictions will resume on weekend lockdown.

“The state government has issued a notification after the central government’s directive. We are following just that. Movement (along the border) will be restricted during the weekend. On weekdays, normal checks on social distancing norms, Aarogya Setu app etc will be carried out,” Times of India quoted Noida district magistrate Suhas LY as saying.

Centre had asked all the states to make sure that there are no restrictions on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods during the ongoing unlocking process.
