Gurugram: Gurugram breached the mark of 15,000 cases with the highest single-day spike of 339 fresh cases, pushing the district’s total infection count to 15,249 on Sunday, according to the district health department.

Just a day before, the district had reported the highest single-day spike of 326 cases.

The district’s death toll jumped to 147 as two more patients succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

Also, the number of active cases further rose to 2,232 from 2,168 on Saturday. It was 1,686 last Sunday, as per the data.

Of the total active cases, 18 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 171 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 35 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,008 patients are in home isolation.

The district’s overall recoveries counted to 12,870 after 273 patients were treated and discharged during the last 24 hours period. The recovery rate further slipped to 84.39 per cent from 84.48 per cent on Saturday. It was 85.03 per cent on Friday, 85.37 per cent on Thursday, and 85.71 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 2,526 fresh cases, taking the state’s total infection tally to 93,641, while the death toll counted to 975 as 19 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

The state’s overall recoveries counted to 72,587, while the total number of active cases stood at 20,079.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 77.52 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.31 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.04 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 28 days.
