Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally crossed the mark of 11,000 cases, as 134 more people tested positive of the infection on Friday. The district’s cumulative tally has reached 11,043, according to the official data.

However, in a relief, the overall recoveries in the district jumped to 9,127 after 271 patients were treated and discharged during the 24 hours period, the health bulletin said.

The district’s recovery rate slightly improved to 82.64 per cent from 81.18 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday. It was 81.14 per cent on Tuesday, 80.38 per cent on Monday, 79.82 per cent on Sunday, 79.63 per cent, 80.04 per cent on Friday, and 80.55 per cent on Thursday, the data showed.

With the recoveries of 217 patients, the number of active cases dipped to 1,868 from 2,004 on Thursday. It was 1,909 on last Friday, as per the data.

So far, the deadly disease has claimed 48 lives and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.43, better from 0.44 per cent on Thursday and Wednesday, it showed.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 6,584 new cases, pushing the state’s infection count to 3,42,788, while the death toll rose to 4,869 as 98 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 67,825 active cases, while 2,70,094 patients have been recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 78.79 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.42 per cent.
