With 140 fresh cases, coronavirus tally reaches 13,564 in GB Nagar
Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 140 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 13,564 on Saturday, according to the official data.
According to the state health bulletin, two more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, however, there was a discrepancy in the district death toll. The district death toll stood at 54 on Friday’s data but in Saturday’s update, it showed 55 deaths despite two more deaths added during the day.
The day saw the recoveries of 108 patients, bringing the overall recoveries to 11,971 with a recovery rate of 88.25 per cent, slightly down from 88.39 per cent on the previous day.
It was 88.32 per cent on Thursday, 88.15 per cent on Wednesday, 87.58 per cent on Tuesday and 87.06 per cent on Monday, as per the statistics.
The number of active cases in the district slightly rose to 1,538 from 1,504 on Friday. It was 1,494 on Thursday, 1,492 on Wednesday, 1,542 on Tuesday and 1,599 on Monday, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 3,665 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,10,626. The death toll rose to 5,977 as 61 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 47,823 active cases, while 3,56,826 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 86.89 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.45 per cent.
