Noida Public Library goes online; books can be ordered from home

Noida: In a move to make its facilities accessible to all in the city, the management of Noida Public Library on Tuesday launched a website that would enable book lovers to order for subscription by sitting at their homes. They are now able to search for books of their choice, available in the library.

Ritu Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority unveiled the website during a virtual event organised for the same. 

She said, “There are community centres in the city, where similar facilities can be created for the public. The administration of Noida Public Library should work towards setting up such facilities in these community centre, for which assistance would also be provided by the development authority.”

It is the only public library in the district that houses around 80 thousand books. With the launch of the website, residents from across Noida, Greater Noida and other cities may request for obtaining membership of the library for availing the facilities. They may also search for finding books of their own interest and order for borrowing it from the library.

Noida Public Library is located in Sector 15 and it is being managed by an NGO. It has a vast collection of books ranging from academic to competition, that are very useful to students. The management has created an online facility for increasing its reach. Interested people may find books with available lists on the website.
